Just back from Brittany and La Maison Rose.
Lovely gite with everything you'd need. Really nicely done !

Thanks a lot

We had a fantastic time during our weeks holiday.

This was made possible due to the Gite being restful and very comfortable.

We both like the area and when we stay we like somewhere nice to return to at the end of the day.

La Maison Creme worked for us.

This is the third gite we have stayed in that is owned by Nicola and Mark.

As usual, all is as described, offering such good value for money.

Although a little way outside Reminiac this was not a problem as access was easy and it was so peaceful. We spent time exploring La Brocéliande, the autumn colours were wonderful, as well as local towns and the coast.

Despite being October we had no shortage of restaurants to choose from and the weather was kind to us too - can't wait to be back!

My wife and I have been holidaying in France for nearly 40 years and have stayed in many Gites all over France. Without doubt La Maison Violet is the best we have ever stayed in.

It is spacious, clean, modern and very well appointed.

Location is excellent, it is on a little used minor road so is quiet while giving good access to many interesting towns and the coast.

There are many good restaurants in the area and several surrounding towns have a market at least once a week.

Make sure you check out the owners website and blog as it is packed with useful information.

We came to La Maison Rose in mid-October to begin our quest for a property to buy in the Morbihan.

Our house in the UK was sold, our household goods in store and, following a couple of helpful and delightful phone calls with Nicola, we arrived in Reminiac with promises of house-hunting assistance from Nicola and Mark. La Maison Rose was instantly welcoming and quickly felt like home.

The house was spotlessly clean, light and comfortable. Mark and Nicola both popped in on our first day to say hello and make sure we had everything that we needed. The internet access was very important to us and worked brilliantly (far better than in the UK!).

Mark introduced us to Bertrand, a local Estate Agent, who arranged an afternoon to accompany us to visit various properties.

Every time we came back to la Maison Rose, we felt able to relax, and with all the equipment provided, we lacked for nothing.

Our offer for a property was accepted and then it was time to holiday for three months whilst the paperwork went through. The box-file of suggestions for places to visit was very useful indeed.

We particularly enjoyed the animal and activity park at Branfere; La Gacilly, with its “Festival of the Soup”; Rochefort-on-Terre with the Festival of Lights and Christmas Market; the Monday market at Questembert; the Thursday market at Malestroit, where you can nibble the croissants you have just bought whilst walking along the river to exchange the paperbacks you’ve read at the Library kiosk; the menhirs and reconstructed prehistoric settlement at Monteneuf and our favourite coastal walk around Penn Lann, next to La Biliere.

We would thoroughly recommend any of Mark and Nicola’s houses, especially Rose, as we have seen at first hand the care and attention put into them and the first-class furniture and appliances.

Mark and Nicola were always there for us on the end of the phone whenever we had a question or needed advice, but trusted us to enjoy and look after Rose for three months as though it was our own.

Reading Nicola’s ‘Gallic Grapevine’ blog on the website has helped so much with learning about the restaurants, towns and the culture here.

We will always be grateful to them both for providing us with a home-from-home, and for all their help with our house-hunting and settling in here in Brittany.

If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you.. ... Off the beaten track yet near to a number of towns and villages.
The cottage itself is perfect for two.
Clean, well furnished and comfortable.
Nicola is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area.
The coast about 30 mins away so best of both worlds

What a beautiful area, especially in its autumn colours.

We recommend visits to the Megaliths at Monteneuf and the lake and woodland south of Rochefort en Terre.

We were able to revisit one of our favourite places on this planet, Lamot Baden.

Everywhere is so quiet and peaceful
