John Mason, last boy Paul Hundleby (Has since passed away 30th October 2006 aged 61, source Guild
Messenger Summer 2007)

Bob came to Goldings in September 1960 from Southampton. He did Gardening as
A trade at Goldings. Became a Group Leader Winter 1961 succeeding Ivan Smith He gained
his School Colours for cricket also in 1961.
Won Boxer of the Year Trophy Spring 1963. Became House Captain 1962, and was my
House Captain when I arrived in 1962 ,he left in May 1963

Was a Somerset Boy for the duration

On the lawn at Annesley about 1952, with my former friends and Goldings in the future
I am the first child from the left, 3rd Micky Beare, 4th Stanley Wright, 7th Kenneth Lockey,
9th Leslie Reed, 13th Elspeth Weatherall, can anybody else help me with more names ?
O the dog? I think it was Spike.

This poster was another exercise developed
By Mr Wheatley to encourage each house
To entertain each other in our sitting room
With various sketch’s and jokes to amuse
Us. This was the first one to be “Performed”
I myself do still remember it on the small
“Stage” in the sitting room.
