Lionel Wrangles died on the 3rd June 1989, at the age of 85. He joined Barnardo’s in 1921 as a gardener instructor at Goldings
and retired in 1967.

Mr Wrangles was a Junior Gardener at Goldings before the Abel Smith family sold Goldings to Barnardos and stayed to work at the
House after it became W. B. T. S.
