The origins of the oil painting by Dave Mylot which we believe was auctioned at a Goldings Function, and given to “Skip” by Mike
Justice. This has now been given to the new residents of Goldings which they will hang it were once our Honours Board was displayed.
So now it has been returned to the home of the former pupil who painted it, and reminds us of the wonderful character “Skip” was
to us, and it will be displayed once more in his honour that surely he rightly deserves from us.
To quote one of his many sayings “Never mind eh”
Captain Albert P Culver, we remember you with such affection, and salute you once more.

It was painted by a Goldings Old Boy David Mylot who came to

placed in the Junior House of Kinnaird, later to become a
member of the Senior House of Cairns and left Goldings in
July 1960 as a Painter and Decorator.
