Hello Mr Smith, it would be nice to know your first name then we know who we are speaking to.Its a guess, but with the information you have given you may have been in Pelham, and you left in 1960?
Sadly we are all getting older and not so many Old Boys are on Computer but it's always good for me to know there are Old Boys who are looking and occasionally posting a message it makes it worth keeping the Website going, so many thanks for looking in.Many thanks for your candid opinion and it's down to all of us to continue via our family, friends and grandchildren to highlight for most of us our early teenage years with such a wonderful opportunity we were given at Golding's coupled with the terrific annual re-unions we have, and long may they continue
Barkingside is sadly no more as Barnardo's have sold most of it off, and the reunions are still up and running if you look through the Website you will find stories on the story pages but as I say not so much on the Guestbook.

59 years since I left Goldings only to return once some 30 years ago. along my travels onwards and upward to where many an old boy now passed through I am sad there are no stories of the real Goldings and its occupants, not football,Wimbledon,Cadets, Birthday greetings the passing away just the a few jolly stories of life and the mischief we stamped on our surroundings.I mention previously of unravelling the copper wire from telephone boxes to secure a CRYSTAL reception from Luxembourg, not many realised Golding had many rare nesting birds dare I say a collected egg fetch more than my weekly shilling not to mention the vicars apple orchard I can see him now standing scratching his head puzzled where have all the apples gone.try Hertford market, and if you ever had the misfortune to work for Miss Roe, well you know where she kept her handbag never missed the odd copper and if you were polite you received a reward. Did you ever feel sick, well sick bay presented more opportunities, not to mention Kitchen duties, so are there any stories to lift the spirit the Goldings website or are we doomed to login once a month to see more sadness. The annual get together would be nice for a change at Barkingside not been there since 2000 tea party. I understand they have a memorabilia museum and a change, what do you think? By the way I am a professional thief and burglar (retired)
