This is dedicated to all our former Golding’s Old Boys and Staff who gave their lives in The World Wars to give us a better and safer world to live in.

A special thanks to Former Golding’s Old Boy Ron Porter, who laid a wreath on our behalf at Waterford Memorial for Remembrance Sunday.

It is also 100 years next year since Golding’s first opened 1922

Lest we forget
Lest we forget
At 11 o clock on the 11th day of the 11th month.
That’s when we all remember Armistice day.
When we all fall silent and remember the young men who lost their lives or returned maimed and injured from the world wars.
We remember they sacrificed an awful lot for us to have a better life.
We also remember the many young men who have safeguarded our country and kept watch on our behalf in many conflicts since and still are today.
Very brave young men and women.

CORPS OF DRUMS NOTES
The Corps of Drums had a busy day on Remembrance Sunday last year. In the morning they led the British Legion parade at Puckeridge and Drum-Major Stocking and L/Cpl. Bryant sounded the Last Post and Reveille at the laying on of wreaths in the church. In the afternoon they led the parade to Roydon Church and after the service the Last Post and Reveille were played by the whole Corps of Drums and was very impressive; they were congratulated by the Parade Marshal and all present.
Many buglers did duty at the various Remembrance Services in the county and I was very pleased to receive letters of thanks and appreciation from all the churches where the lads were sent in the morning and afternoon.

Mal
Well its been a long time since I've been on the guestbook so just thought I would say hello.
Lets hope we are all still keeping safe and well.
We are still having problems with the updating of the site but Dave is still working on it, no one seems interested in old technology I'm afraid, I'm sure there is someone out there.
Xmas is creeping up and is just around the corner, (Messages are always important at Christmas)
Take Care
