Dear Dave,
Sadly, David died of bronchial pneumonia on Sunday after a 3-week battle with the illness.
We are all devastated. I am heartbroken – he was my rock and loving friend, All his loved ones were with him when he died and we are grieving a warm, kind and generous man.
The funeral date is not known yet. Probably near the end of January. I will, of course, let you know.
David has requested that his ashes be scattered at the site of the cricket ground at Golding’s.
He loved the reunions and felt that he was reunited with a second family. I would be grateful if you would inform the Old Boys and give them my love.

devastated to hear of the passing of a real special lad and man. Glyn was in Cairns and we were in the same dormitory, it was an honour to know him he was a gentle quite lad but always held the respect of all who knew him. will be sadly missed by us all R.I.P. Glyn
