Today I had a message from Jimmy James to say sadly, that our President John Hunt had lost his long and verry brave fight.He was an example to us all, and he will be verry sorely missed.

It is with great sadness in my heart that I have been asked to inform you all that our friend John Hunt passed away on the 29th of August 2006 after a long and painful tiring illness.
John was one of Dr. Barnardo’s finest; he was a staunch supporter of our reunions and a great friend to so many Old Boys. I know that I shall miss him just as many of you will too.
Dave will try and fill in details of the funeral arrangements on his return.
I’m sure that we will all join together in sending our condolences to His wife and family.
RIP John, our friend, may you find peace, and we will reunite again one day.

I NOW HAVE A COPY OF "HE WHO RIDES A TIGER" STARING JUDI DENCH AND TOM BELL WHICH WAS PART FILMED AT THE SCHOOL IN 1964, WHEN ME AND SOME OTHER LADS KNOCKED OVER THE LAMP IN SOMERSETS BATHROOM..TOMMY HILL YOU DID GET ME IN SOME SCRAPES. SOME OF THE LADS FEEL THEY ARE IN THE FILM AS EXTRA'S, SO IT SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AT THE RE-UNION
TO SEE IF WE HAD SOME BUDDING RICHARD BURTONS AT OUR SCHOOL, AND WERE THEY PAID OR LIKE US JUST HAD THE FREE MILK?? IN THE PASSAGE BY THE PHONE? DAVE.

This years re-union 2006 will be held October 7 th The first Saturday of the month. We have decided to stay with the same venue as last year. The evening menu is as follows main course Shepherds Pie, Dessert is Pavlova. The ticket price this year is £12.00 and order forms are being sent out over the next few days. It is optional to purchase a meal ticket for the re-union and you are quite welcome to make your own arrangements if you so wish, as attending the re-union is free.
