BOB BEEN LOOKING FOR THAT PLAY BUT NO LUCK YET,BUT SPOKE TO BOB WOODWARD TODAY AND HE ALSO REMEMBERS IT. THIS ONE IS SUMMER 1956 "ESCAPADE" THIS FULL LENGTH PLAY PRESENTS THE STORY OF THREE BOYS WHO COMMANDEER AN AEROPLANE,AND FLY FROM THEIR BOARDING SCHOOL TO TAKE A MESSAGE OF PEACE TO THE U.N.O. MRS STACKWOOD AND MR SMITH TOOK THE LEADING ROLLS.PERFORMED AT GOLDINGS ON THE 27th MARCH AND LATER AT BARKINGSIDE AND STEPNEY. MR SMITH REVELLED IN THE PART OF JOHN HAMPDEN.MRS MILLAR WAS MRS HAMPDEN MRS MASLIN WAS PROMPTER,JOHN LANGDON PLAYED THE HEADMASTER,BRIAN McCARTHY WAS DAVENTRY,VICTOR SANDELL,JOHN SMOKER,ANDREW REEKIE,DEREK SMITH AND JOHN MOUNTAIN. I CANNOT PRAISE THE STAGE MANAGER FOR THE TREMENDOUS WORK HE HAS PUT IN ARTHUR ROBERTSON. FORTY YEARS LATER YOU SENT US THAT PLAY BACK FROM OZ, AND CALLED IT "HOME AND AWAY" LOL ALL THE BEST DAVE..AND STILL LOOKING.
