With sadness I have to inform you of the death of my lovely husband James (Dixie)Deane.Born 12-5-42 and died 14-1-16. We were in Canada by our son and grandchildren in November 2015 but he suddenly felt unwell and we came back to England, were he was diagnosed with brain cancer, after radiotherapy he lost his battle with cancer, but he kept his humour until his last moment. He fought long and hard over the years, but never once complained. Shotley Park 1947-55,
Goldings 1955-58. I would like to send you a photo of James. Greetings Maria Deane (40 yrs. of marriage is a long time)I still can't believe that he is gone.

Although not unexpected, Carolyn & I are very sad to learn that Alan has joined many others of our family in the world beyond us. More than anyone, he typified everything that was good about those who went to Goldings in their teenage years. Our sincere commiserations to Margaret and the family. Alan will long be remembered with affection by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
