With regards to your section on the Goldings website 1922-1967 referencing the carpenter shop who made the play pen for Princess Margaret’s first born baby Viscount Linley. Did you know that it was my husband, Barry Hyland, who was the person who made it. I have attached pictures of him with the play pen (then and now). I just thought I would let you know in case you want to add any more to that piece. Apparently there is a video of him making it somewhere on the Pathe News website. Please see the link below.

Barry was an student at Goldings between 1958 and 1962 and constantly checks this website to see if he can spot any of his old friends from his time there. As well as trying to regale us with his stories from his time there.

Four or five months ago we lost control of the web site. After contacting so called experts on web site to help us, the first one to contact us was from Birmingham who told us it would have to go back to their shop? 150 pounds later is was returned to us...wiped clean! We then contacted a expert in computers who offered to sort it? weeks later no contact, so we contacted him and he said " I would need to come out to the site as its very complicated fault, but he never turned up. Next one from Derby said "I should be able to fix via the site" then no contact so we contacted him "I'm working on it" Weeks later we contacted him no joy. Throughout this time my wife would fiddle with with no idea what she was doing, then BINGO site sorted, and the moral of the story is this "If you do get married make sure she has a enough grey matter to fix the GOLDINGS SITE! The boys are back in town.
