HELLO HELEN, THANKS FOR CONTACTING ME REF YOUR EXHIBITION ON WATERFORD, AND GOLDINGS.AS DISCUSSED WITH THE MUSEUM A COUPLE OF MONTHS BACK, WE WOULD BE DELIGHTED TO ASSIST IN THIS PROJECT AS GOLDINGS WAS A IMPORTANT PART OF WATERFORD HISTORY, AND I PERSONALLY FEEL THAT GOLDINGS, AND IT''S HISTORY IS NOT GIVEN THE IMPORTANCE IT DESERVES WITHIN THE MUSEUM, MOST PROBABLY DUE TO US NOT HELPING THE MUSEUM WITH IMFORMATION TO ALLOW YOU TO DISPLAY MORE, AS I DO VISIT WHEN I AM DOWN IN HERTFORD AND I CAN ONLY FIND A TABLE TENNIS BAT (Off a former old boy)WITH ANY REFERENCE TO GOLDINGS, SO I THINK IT'S LONG OVERDUE THAT WE IMPROVED THIS SITUATION. ANY HELP YOU REQUIRE PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE. I WILL BE BACK DOWN HERTFORD SHORTLY TO ASSIST IN OUR COMMEMORATION BENCH WHICH IS BEING SITED AT WATERFORD CENOTAPH, AND UNVEILED ON THE SATURDAY 22nd OF APRIL AT 1-30am.REGARDS OLD BOYS AND THEIR STORIES, I THINK MOST IF NOT ALL OF THEM WOULD BE PLEASED TO ASSIST YOU, BECAUSE IF YOU DID'NT KNOW MANY SETTLED IN THEIR ADOPTED TOWN AND MARRIED LOCAL GIRLS ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE DON'T HESITATE TO CONTACT ME. DAVE

From: "Helen Gurney" To: daveblower@btinternet.com Subject: Waterford exhibition at Hertford Museum Date: Thu, 23 Mar 2006 14:37:29 -0000 Dear Mr. Blower My name is Helen Gurney and I am the curator at Hertford Museum. We are planning a temporary exhibition all about Waterford featuring Goldings and this will be from 23rd September this year until the 25th of November. I have a letter that you kindly sent to us last year in my ‘Waterford’ folder and wanted to get back in touch with you. Now we are starting to put the feelers out to talk to people who lived in the village or at Goldings to get their memories, photographs and objects to use in the exhibition. In fact, we have just taped a gentleman called Jimmy James regarding Barnados and are keen to do more. Is there any way you can help us with our exhibition? Do you have any objects or memories that you could supply? Or are you able to put us in touch with anyone else who lives locally? Also, it would be great if we could advertise the exhibition on your website. In fact I have been looking at your website and realised that you are having a reunion in October at Hertford – you are more than welcome to come along and see our exhibition that day too if you wish.
Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you soon
Many thanks Helen Gurney, AMA Curator Hertford Museum 18 Bull Plain Hertford Hertfordshire SG14 1DT T: 01992 582686 (main museum) T: 01992 585721 (direct line)

He opens his mouth and says. "I would like to buy a pair of sunglasses"
If you got this wrong - please turn off your computer and Call it a day.
I've got mine shutting down right now

Here's a one-question IQ Test to help you decide how you should spend the rest of your day......
There is a mute who wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action of brushing one's teeth, he successfully expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is done.
Now, if there is a blind man who wishes to buy a pair of sunglasses, how should he express himself? Think about it first before looking at the next message.....
