Is there any trace of a Jack Thorne who I worked with briefly in 1951 on Vancouver Island, Western Canada? He said he was a Barnardo Boy, and I thought he also mentioned Goldings.
My connection with Goldings is through my father-in-law who sold the family home to Barnardos in the early 1920's. Final 10,000 pounds was believed to be an interest free loan, subsequently written off as a donation.

HE SAID THAT ARTHUR MO MAY BE THERE AS WELL, HE'S STILL KEEPS IN TOUCH WITH WALTER FORD,REMEMBER HE USED TO HANG AROUND THE POST OFFICE. JOHN SMITH SAID HE CAN COME TOO. Mel he's getting old bless his cotten socks put him in a old folks home.
anyway Ann is in fine form and looking forward to her holiday which is only 5 weeks away she has settled into her new job and has been made supervisor already. we are just getting ready to go to a party and get rat A???
