THAT YOUR ABLE TO SIT UP STRAIGHT,JUST DONT HAVE A DRINK UNTIL AFTER THE CEREMONY,REMEMBER THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS BENCH, FOR ALL THE OLD BOYS PAST AND PRESENT.

THIS WEEK PERMISSION WAS GRANTED TO SITE THE BENCH WHERE WE ORIGINALLY INTENDED, NEXT TO WATERFORD CENOTAPH.
AFTER CONSULTING OTHER SENIOR OLD BOYS, IT IS AGREED THAT WE OFFICIALLY UNVEIL IT ON THE 19th OF APRIL 2006
THE BENCH WILL BE IN POSITION WELL BEFORE THIS FOR LADS WHO MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND THAT DAY. THE DATE CHOOSEN COINSIDES WITH THE DATE THE FIRST STEPNEY BOYS MARCHED INTO HERTFORD TO TAKE UP RESIDENCE IN GOLDINGS 84 YEARS AGO.
WE ARE HOPING TO ALSO SITE ALONG SIDE THE BENCH A COMMEMORATION PLAQUE WITH A FEW WORDS DESCRIBING OUR PRESCENCE THERE AND WHY, THROUGH OUT THOSE YEARS. AND A THANKYOU TO THE STAFF THAT GUIDED US THROUGH OUR FORMATIVE YEARS.
THE WORDS I HOPE WILL BE GENERATED BY OTHER OLD BOYS TO HOPFULLY AGREE WHAT WE NEED TO SAY..DAVE.
