POST SCRIPT, TO MY LAST MESSAGE I AM PROUD TO HAVE BEEN A GOLDINGS BOY AND PROUD TO BE A FOUNDER MEMBER OF THIS WEB SITE AND A LIFE LONG FRIEND TO OUR WEBMASTER DAVE BLOWER AND HIS FAMILY.
I WILL NOT USE THIS SITE ANYMORE TO AIR MY GRIEVANCES WITH BARNARDOS.
THE THERAPUTIC BENEFIT I GOT FROM LETTING IT ALL OUT,WOULD NOT BE ACHIEVED AGAIN.TONY

I at no time tryed to undermine any boy I met all sorts my point was clear u get out of life what u put in no matter how bad or good your start in life was some made a good job others not so good I was ten when Barnardos took me in, ten years of beatings from a drunken father often put out to sleep in the coal shed I was fortunate I did not have one bad Barnardo staff member I was at Barkingside,& Watts school before going to Goldings I found Goldings great and will always speak well of it. It was not my intention to upset anyone and I apologise if u took offence

Tony, and Bob I tend agree with both your sentiments but lets just remember that this is a site for Goldings boys and staff to mull over and remember the fantastic time for most of us spent there.Life is about the have's and have not's.But how do we measure success? a large bank balance? or friends and family that are pleased you are part of there life.
One most personal thing that I wanted besides a way of earning a good standard of living thanks to Goldings was a family, which I think most of us missed in our early life.Good health?what price would you put on that one.
For you lads out there I wish all of you success but not in the material sense, because this can be a shallow success. As for Tony, well what can we say,or do other than support his situation, along with others no doubt.I just hope that this friendly disagreement does'nt upset our unique Goldings friendship, which not many other schools enjoy. On a lighter note to finish,I've got to go just heard the bugler sound "Come to the Cookhouse door" beetroot, cheese, and a cup of Grog,Sunday Tea..see ya Dave.
