HI DAVE AFTER TALKING TO YOU THE OTHER NIGHT, I REMEMBERED THE WEEKLY SCHOOL DANCE, ONE EVENING BEFORE THE DANCE WE WERE IN SOMERSET LIVING ROOM, YOU SAID ANGELL, CAN YOU TEACH ME TO DO THE WALTZ.
I SAID WHAT FOR, YOU REPLIED, I WANT TO GET HOLD OF ONE OF THOSE GIRLS DOWN THE GYM, I SAID WICH ONE, YOU REPLIED, ANY ONE.SO AFTER 10 MINUTES OF YOU TREADIG ON MY TOES AND TRIPPING ME UP, I SAID FORGET IT, YULL NEVER GET THE HANG OF IT.
YOU WERE QUITE VISIBLY UPSET, STAMPING YOUR FEET ON THE GROUND, SAYING ITS NOT FAIR, I TRIED TO COMFORT YOU BY SAYING, YOU CAN PLAY FOOTBALL AND I CANT, SO LETS GO OR ELSE WE'LL BE LATE.WALKING DOWN THE PARADE GROUND, YOU SAID ANGELL WHAT DO THOSE GIRLS FEEL LIKE WHEN YOUVE GOT YOUR ARMS AROUND THEM, I SAID HOW WOULD I KNOW, IM NOT A MIND READER, YOU SAID, NO, WHAT DO THEY FEEL LIKE? I SAID OH THE FIRST THING YOULL NOTICE IS;THE SWEET SMELL OF PERFUME WAFTING UP YOUR NOSE FROM BEHIND THEIR EARS.AND YOU SAID, PLEASE GIVE ME ANOTHER LESSON AND WE WERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARADE GROUND, I SAID FORGET IT, YOULL NEVER GET THE HANG OF IT.YOU SAID ILL GIVE YOU 2 ROLL-UPS, SO WE EMBRASSED LIKE YOU DO FOR THE WALTZ, AND A YOICE CAME OUT OF CANNES SITTING ROOM ERRR FAIRIES, OR WORDS TO THAT EFFECT. AND THAT WAS YOUR LAST LESSON FROM ME.BUT IN THE GYM, WHEN I LOOKED AROUND TO MY AMAZEMENT, YOU WERE DOING THE TWIST TO THE GAYGORDON, TRYING TO GRAB A GIRL AROUND THE WAIST, HOW WAS TRYING TO PASS YOU.AND YOU LOOKED LIKE A GOALKEEPER IN A PENALTY HOW HAS JUST GONE THE WRONG WAY.SO DAVE IF MAL COMES BACK.
DONT TAKE HER ANYWHERE NEAR A DANCE FLOOR.
DOUBLE HER HOUSE KEEPING.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK MR AND MRS NEWTON FOR THE LOAN OF A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF PHOTOS TAKEN OF THE SCHOOL, GYM TEAM, AND DYMCHURCH MAINLY, ALSO A FEW FROM THE VERNEY.THESE RANGE FROM 1954 UP TO 65 WHEN HE LEFT FOR WARE COLLEGE. THEY WILL BE SHORTLY BE DISPLAYED ON OUR WEB SITE FOR US ALL TO LOOK AT. DUE TO THE FACT WE SEEM TO HAVE A MIRROR WEB SITE WHICH IS DEVOID OF ORIGINAL IDEAS WE WILL HAVE TO WATER MARK THESE PICTURES FOR THAT VERY REASON, BUT COPIES CAN BE ARRANGED WITHOUT THIS MARK. WHILE NOT INTENDING TO KICK OF THE PREVIUOS DISPUTE, I REPEAT ONCE AGAIN THIS SITE WILL BE FREE AND NO DONATIONS WILL EVER BE REQUESTED...REGARDS DAVE.

Hi Dave,
Wow!! I'm back home in Canada, what a reunion!! After 40 years what a get together that was a! It was great and very overwhelming to see all, (the 'ole' 60's crew) and (old boys) of the past who led the way for us all at the Goldings reunion.
It was great to see you Dave, and Brian, Pete Drumond, Paul W, Tony A, Michael Crow, Ernie Warren and many of the other Old Goldings Boy's, specially 'Pop Steel'. It was also great to reminisce and be reminded of all the pranks and laughs we used to get up to like; Scrumping with our pillow cases for apples and pears!! (Borrowing) ha! ha! the gym ropes under the stage and swinging overthe river down the road from the school! Even getting the 'CUTS' from, 'Pinhead' wearing three pairs of pants for getting cought smokeing in the dorm was a laugh, (poof that magic dust sure came back to bite me in the butt)!! Ha! Ha! And what about the 45 gal tank ride to 'Birds Island' that sank in the middle of the river! My brother Paul who came with me to the reunion had a good laugh at my expense on the way back to his place!
Finally bud, thank you Dave, your wife and family, your crew of helpers for spending the time, and (taking the time) to organize yet another William Baker Technical School, (Goldings Reunion), it is a lot of hard work. Thank you.

Hi Dave
Can i first say how much my Wife and I Enjoyed ourselves at the reunion it was our first, but i can say it will not be our last.It was so nice to chat with a few Boys their ,it brings back so meny memories chatting about what we used to get up to .It was realy great to meet and chat to Pop Steele and Bob Newton . We also enyoyed the food (lol),We had planed to stay over night in a Hotel but it did not quite work out like that , but hopefully next year.
