Hi Dave,
Have just got back from Barkingside and I have some boxes for you with items from Golding's, would you like me to bring them to you so that you can sort them out. There is a box full of printing items. Also I think a letter in a frame from Princess Margaret dating August 21st 1951 thanking everybody for her 21st birthday a garden table made for her. Also a Golding's blazer not sure what in the other box.

The article about Jim Maslin has brought back many happy memories of a kindly man who was totally devoted to the well being of all members of the Goldings family. A Barnardo boy himself, Jim encapsulated and supported all the positives of daily life both for staff and boys. He demonstrated great loyalty to my father and was a warm and supportive uncle to me throughout my formative years. We were all very saddened when he died suddenly from a heart attack in his early sixties. You do not meet his ilk very often in today's world.
