Yes I remember Mo Hibbet Dave, good footballer played for the School and Ware for many years, sorry to say he died a number of years ago, that is according to the Herts Mercurys Hatched, Matched, and Dispatched!!. Iloved Brians reasons for leaving the Hospital!, wonderful. I have to have my hip replaced on 15 April at QE2 Welwyn, so shall be out of action for a while. Keep taking the tablets John

6-7 years ago I met in Hertford Museum a Ron Crawley who wasn't a Goldings Boy but he sold stamps to them at half price as he obtained them through the post box by Hertford North Station with a penknife! Later he was caught by the local Bobby and sent to a home in Birmingham (thats novel I came down to Hertford from north of Birmingham, and he came north from Hertford to Birminham)He used to live by the Mayflower and the Station and remembers that all around Hertford they used to park up Spitfires so they woudn't get bombed if they were put in fields, and regular as clockwork with D-Day approaching they used to bring the planes down to Hertford North but couldn't get them under the bridge nearby so they had to turn round on the Mayflower with the planes and find another route to get them out of Hertford, but they kep't on doing it on a regular basis and somebody never twigged it! He had a very good friend from Golding's, Mo Hibbit,a colured lad who later lived in Ware, does anyone remember him,and does anyone know of his wereabouts?

Happy birthday to Brian Perrier who I'm afraid has spent his birthday still in hospital, but I'm sure he was surrounded by his family. I have spoken to him today and told him we are all with him in spirit and we'll have to celebrate when he is well.
