We have just got back from Brian’s "Wake" What wonderful support to Brian from his friends and family. A daunting task, but it was necessary that his Goldings friends were also there those who could make it, (Tony Angall Myself and David Wheatley). At Goldings Brian and myself never remembered each other even thou we were at Goldings the same years (62-65) but later via the reunion we became the best of friends, including our families, he visiting me and me likewise throughout the years which has now been over ten years. My daughters arranged a surprise-wedding anniversary in Walsall for us, and who was first to say yes...Brian and his family. We share similar sarcasm’s and banter, which could have only been the product of Goldings! of that I am sure, and not only that our birthdays are the same year 1949 and within 24 hours of each other 16th and 17th of March. A lovely afternoon Brian and Ellen with all their troubles still the perfect hosts.
