I also remember you Les, I came to Goldings from a little boys home, as soon as the boys there were old enough to wear long trousers they were shipped of to Goldings. On my 1st morning in Somerset House 30th MAY 62, they came around to wake us all up, I jumped out of bed like we all did in the little boys home, to find all you lot still just laying there, so sitting on my bed for what seemed like 10 mins thinking whats going to happen now, you got out of bed in the alcove, sat there and lit up a fag, I was absoulutly gobsmacked to see a boy smoking in a boys home, I think your mate in the next bed was Buggsy. I know its a long way to come to a reunion but Bob Robertson has come over now and then, so who knows. Dave may have forgotten to tell you there is a photo of you leaving Goldings with a suitcase, I think you might find this photo on the site, if not i'll get Dave to put it on.

Hi Dave and Family. I was up in my loft trying to sort out and clear some rubbish when I came across my Book of Common Prayer presented to me by Rev Appleyard in 1959 about 6 months after I entered Goldings also with it was my Red Hymn Book presented September 1961 three months before I left for the big outside world.
Then when I switched on my computer to let you know I had a quick look at our Site and saw the Photos from Joan Embledon now I know I couldn't go back as far as some of them days, but I do remember Mr Embledon moving into the new McAndrew wing and I stood quite close to the steps leading to the wing on the day that H R H Princess Margaret opened it.
One more note is that the polish mans name in the group of gardeners I believe a many called Mr Keyoskie (spelt as I remember pronouncing) it when I was there, I think he ended up living down in Waterford Village (another lovely bloke) We certainly had some great House parent's and Master's over the years.
Regards to you and the Family.
Keith & Val.
