Richard,there is no charge,but if you want to make a donation to our reunion,you are most welcome.I have a D.V.D.of the Prince of Wales opening Goldings,and a C.D.of the Goldings Band,but year unknown, on our Parade Ground ably controlled by "Skipper"

great time going back to corris and meeting fred barnes and ex goldings lads there nice to meet mark and andy dawsons sons again also going to see alan blackburn again in his house many thanks for being invited back to the old home and for making us all welcome and very friendly people spoke to someone in pub who knows a few people i was at school with one my old mate not seen since 1951 gave my address to write to me thanks dave and a big thanks to fred....bill

Hello Dave thank you very much for the Goldings DVD/Video,that I received on the 6'th,Aug. I did enjoy watching it, it did bring back a few memories. Are there any more DVDs for sale I did see some on the website but I cant find them, there are a few that I did see. Let me know of any cost for the DVD I will gladly cover any cost.
I will not be able to come to the Reunion in October owing to ill health. I have COPD,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,Emphysema. I get very short of breath. I will try and come. Anyway Dave thanks again, let me know of any costs, and of any more DVDS. I will be in touch soon. Regards Richard.

I had a very pleasant Saturday afternoon at the Corris House reunion as Fred Barnes guest. The first time a Reunion has been held back in the house itself. Lots of old boys,staff, and locals meeting up again after many years and for Fred,nearly 65 years!. If Sheena is looking in(Organiser on behalf of Wheatlands Care Home) I would like to thank her, and her staff, for all the hard work they did to make it a such a wonderful success.
It was also great to see a couple of Goldings Boys who were also Corris House old boys, present on the day.
Bill Roe, Henry Peet, Bob Woodward, and Walter Watkins, and then as I have previously stated our visit to Alan Blackburn for me made it such an enjoyable day.
I have a couple of photos and will be putting them on later in the week.

Had a very pleasant phone call this morning from Sid Keeling Goldings 1935-38 MaCall House.He helped dig out our "New" swimming pool in 1938 and most of the rubble was scattered on the nearby field,and when they first filled it "the tiles fell off" because they hadn't given enough time for them to set! they had lots of problems in the early days with the pool.In them days the Governor did the church service (Macdonald)and if you passed him around the grounds you had to salute him! Sends his apologies for not attending the re-union due to the fact he is 90 this year and lives in Northern Ireland but sends his warm wish's to us all.I am sending him photo copies of the Goldonian 35-38 along with the D.V.D.
