Eric,
I have just finished reading your book "Don't come crying home" and found it a most enjoyable read. It is always nice to read Barnardo stories. Your account of Golding's was excellent and an honest account of your own experiences. Well done.

First a belated happy Birthday and secondly, a speedy recovery from your prostate operation.
I would be interested to hear how it went as I am awaiting a date for my prostate operation which I hope won't be long now.
