Just received my copy of "Don't Come Crying Home" by William Fell Holden from Amazon, which arrived yesterday. Unfortunately there was a delay in Amazon sending out copies which was a shame as I could have began reading it during Easter when spending 4 days in the Leicester General Hospital. I now hope to start reading it over the next couple of days.
Regarding my stay in hospital. I am now awaiting a prostate operation in the next few weeks Due to an enlarged prostate. Following tests, I'm pleased to report there is nothing cynical going on and in the mean time life goes on. I will be joining former Golding's Boy Terry Whitehead in Liverpool on Friday when we will both be speaking about our life in Barnardo care at a Barnardo Event taking place in the Liverpool Central Library at 11am

Just read Eric Fell Holdens book,a wonderful insite about his life and Dr Barnardo's Home's,and the stories about Goldings were brilliant description on life at the William Baker Technicaal School.

just got back from Manchester,our good friend John Mark Horns funeral service was great,met his family,and friends,good weather,Frank Sinatra singing My Way.A wonderful gentleman.Hymn Jerusalem, followed by refreshments in Denton.Had a couple of pints cheers John in memory ,R.I.P.
