As I was also in Somerset it was nice to see the photo of the Lads later on in the early 1950.I think it must have been much later in the years as I don't know any of them!, if anyone does remember anyone, please let me know.Sam

Hi Dave,
Just been looking at the list of those attending this years reunion and notice that John Spencer NCOB is not there. Could you please add him to the list. Like my crowd, he will be arriving at the White Horse on the Friday evening.look forward to seeing everyone.

This year I have changed the format of the I.D. badges on the day to include a lanyard with our house colour's, which can help us identify with each other the houses we were in. Could everyone please wear their badge on the day and also with our visit to David and Denise's flat to visit the Mayor at 2'o'clock which will help with the conversation and they will know who they are talking to, so please wear our badge's with pride to show that Goldings was unique, ,and we know how to conduct ourselves with the same pride! P.S. As "Pop" was housemaster in all house's except for Somerset the weight of the different lanyards would impede his movement on the day so we have given him a lanyard with the main colour of the school "Green" which also shows he was one of our favourite staff members and still remains so.

Dear Dave, We had heard from Len who keeps in touch with David that you were all visiting Goldings 04 October and of course you remain welcome guests on the Estate and to our Apartment for the usual refreshments. (In fact, we moved a weekend holiday arrangement to ensure we could see our now good friends from Barnardos era.) As before, our welcome extends specifically to the Boys and their wives/partners (and we know there is the occasional son/daughter who joins them) between 12-4'o'clock. (The only facility we cannot offer is wheelchair access other than in the garden if it is a nice day.) This year we have made a special request for Her Worship The Mayor of Hertford to arrive at about 2pm to meet the Boys. She happens to be a personal friend of mine. Additionally, I will be inviting the Landlord of Goldings, Eugene Flannery, if he is in the country on that date, since the Goldings we know today is entirely the result of his vision and ambition to create a truly beautiful environment for those of us lucky enough to live in Goldings. Let us hope we are as lucky with the weather this year as we have been in all previous years. Kind regards. David & Denise
