Hi Dave love how you have done the poppies around the photos of our soldier's in the 1st World War do you know if any of them are listed at all on any of the 2 head stones that I have done or are they going to be with the ones which I am doing for Hemel Hemstead in London by Stepney. Les I have been in touch with Billy Knight who lives in Liverpool,U.K,who's brother moved to Australia soon after leaving Goldings.He lives in China Man Creek,just north of Brisbane,Queensland,he has just turned 70,and he was taught Bootmaking at Goldings but didn't take up the trade.If you key in astroron Australia,you could possibly make contact,good luck Dave.

Dave many thanks for the info that you provide me, it would be good if you can find any details of my time at Goldings, I have a photo of myself in the cross country run we used to do of course there are others in the photo, but of course they are way behind me, I will see if I can scan and send a copy, any more details that you have on the guys that are in Aus would be good,i was in the painting and decorating shop Mr Brooks and Mr Ibbotson and Mr Moles were the Teachers at that time, I shall keep in touch from time to time, its great of you to provide the info to all the old boys it certainly brings back memories its much appreciated. Welcome Les back to the fold,and yes Somerset was the best house.I will go through the Goldonians and send you anything in there about your time there.
Is that you on the film of Goldings leaving across the bridge? If you haven't got the d.v.d. on Goldings 30's-40's-50's and 60's I could send one to you.Bob Robertson lives in Oz,mid 50's at Goldings and I beleive Keith MacSweeney mid 60's moved there also.Nice to hear from you,if there is any photo's of you on the site point them out and I will send them to you,good luck,Dave Blower, Somerset 1962-65.

Hi Dave yes I remember you and we did have a great table tennis and soccer team, I would say Somerset was the outstanding house back in late 50s and early sixties, I took my Aussie wife to Goldings about ten years ago couldn't believe the change but brought back great memories I remember Michael Ross Peter Gregory Ray Ram Willie Hewit Colin Bishop Wilber David Gee of course what an athlete he was. Shall talk some more soon. Les
