You could insist that any donations e.g.Cheques are made out to "Dr Barnardos" which may stop the bank cashing the cheque due to the fact no such charity with that name exsist's! or failing that send your correspondence to the Guild Messenger,but don't be surprised if it doesn't get printed as the Editor is not a Golding Member of Staff,and probably not a child of Dr Barnardo! but I will take your case to them,with a petition signed at our re-union but again don't be surprised if it doesnt make the light of day,after all who sought the opinion of staff from Goldings before closing it! I'm afraid our opinion is not wanted,we are yesterday's child,and the Ex Staff.

Hi John I think it is a good Suggestion but I think it has to come from Dave Blower being our. Reunion Organiser,I think & know it will be a Winner, it will be 2 years before our next Reunion at New Lodge. Windsor as we have one every 2 years but I will ask the boys to vote for it if nothing gets done meanwhile see you at the Reunion.

I too always respect the DR, and tell people I am a Dr Barnado boy, I think we should get up a petition to re-instate it back to Dr Barnado's,how about taking a vote on it at our forthcoming reunion.

Hi Bob, I totally agree with you in what you have said. Yes I have always said I was brought up in Dr Barnardo,s Homes not Barnardo,s as you may know I run the reunion at New Lodge Windsor & I always say Dr Barnardo,s so good on yer see you soon at our Reunion have a good trip over
