Bob, I've never met you but I 100% agree with your last statement. It might seem funny to some but when the Dr was dropped from Dr Barnardos Home I remember turning to my wife and saying how could they do that to such a man.It also felt as if they had ripped something out of my heart. I never met him too but what a man Doctor Barnardo must have been, and where would so many children have landed without him.

Thank you for including the Goldonian article by Mr Wheatley it is the first time I have seen it I have always been convinced that it was the "Do Gooders" and social workers that destroyed GOLDINGS the article confirms this what a heartbreak it must have been for him and all the other wonderful staff who had dedicated their lives to the boys and the school if Dr Barnardos was run as the Dr wanted there would not have been the homeless youth on the streets today I will never call it Barnardos it was a grave mistake to insult the Doctor by droping the Dr from the name hang your heads in shame
