Hi Dave l don't recall seeing vents in the windows in my time. Maybe some of the older boys could recall seeing them. it would be nice to know what they where for.By the way have a great reuion so sorry we are not there to enjoy the life and times or fun we all had.

They're back at it again, Ned Kelly, and the Sherrif of Nottingham,well there may be a surprise for you both on the day! more like "His Masters Voice" are looking for old timers to record long lost tunes from the war! Boer War! There will be free of charge at the reunion ear plugs! as the Health and Safety have been in touch to pre warn everyone about the forth coming fiasco, the day that "Music Died" to be replaced by the two old punk rockers!

6am Sunday morning well its time for the off its an hours car trip to the Airport at Brisbane then a 26 Hour flight to Heathrow Sorry Alan not able to make Barkingside will be at mother in laws in Brickendon just out of Hertford we are going up to Watts School to check on the graves Virgin Records want us to cut a disk so keep practicing Alan lalalalala

.Well Spoken Bob, I agree that we had the best singing teachers. Look forward to seeing you at the Reunion, but first here is A LONG SHOT. Bob you say you arrive in the UK on Monday. I will be at Barkingside on Tuesday afternoon and staying at the Village Cottage overnight before going into London on Wednesday with Martine to present the National Council's Annual report to the Barnardo Trustees. Perhaps we could meet up at Barkingside, have a drink and rehearse our song. In the mean time I'm of to Salzburg in the next hour to start singing "The Hills are alive" Take care
