Proposed wording that is being organised for a Memorial Stone to be placed in Waterford Church Yard, and hopefully organise a service on reunion day for us to attend to pay our respects. As it stands at the moment Barnardo's will finance it? we hope, and any donations to it will be offered to them.
This Memorial Stone is a gift from Goldings Old Boys, Staff, and Dr Barnardo’s to remind us all that read this that many Boys and Staff never left Goldings to continue their life’s journey but remain buried in this Church Yard and who’s names are listed below

We discreetly mentioned to the Bristol goalkeeper that if he pulled off any saves he would be made to live in Walsall for 12 months, and to buy Blowers curries for the same period! IT WORKED.

Dave My name is Graham Gifkins. I live in Hertford. My step grandfather ('Bumps') was Harold Mitchell who worked in the admin office at Goldings. I was so interested in the words about 'Bumps' who I remember well as a very kind man. Yesterday my son Christopher, now 40, brought me a bedside cabinet he had at home as he had noticed it was made by Les Bilham whose name was written under the draw. Les had written details of his stay at Goldings. I assume the cabinet was a carpentry exercise. Harold may have bought the cabinet from the school? I have tried to use the link for Les but it does not work. Do you have any contact details please as I would like to speak to him and if appropriate return his cabinet to him. Regards Graham Gifkins
