What can one say?
Another fantastic reunion and treading the boards of Goldings once again was mind blowing. The warm welcome that the residents gave us was unbelievable and a big, big thanks has to go to Dave for the meetings he had to make it possible.
I am now going to put my feet up as I'm nackerd and then it's another drive south in the morning for a National Council Meeting at Barkingside
but I will have more to say about the reunion in a couple of days time as I'm sure there will be many more comments frm many more who attended.

Over many years I have done my best to uphold the good name of Goldings and it's pupils but this I must share with all of you!
A Goldings old boy was visiting his local store in Chatham,trying to shake off the salt from his days in the Navy,when he asked the assistant of the store "What is that" The assistant said "Thats a flask"
"Well what does that do then" he enquired.
"It keeps things hot and some things cold"
"I'll have one of them for work"
So the next day pleased as punch he takes it with him to work and showing it off to his mates at Tesco.
"What you got there Pete"
"A Flask"
"What you got in it,something nice"
"Yes Guys"
"Well tell us what then"
"I got some tea and some ice cream"
Now don't laugh because that is a true story

Hi Guy's
My time in sunny Spain is almost at an end and we shall start our drive back to the UK to-morrow morning and god willing we will arrive back in time for our annual Hertford Bash, which I'm sure we are all looking forward to.
I WOULD LIKE TO ASK A FAVOUR OF ALL ATTENDING. If you get the opportunity, would you speak to Dylon Carrol who will be attending. Dylon works for Barnardo's on the fund raising side and is very committed to his work. He is also fasinated about the past history of ex-Barnardo children and their experiences. I have know Dylon for some time and attend some of his Barnardo presentations and it gives me the opportunity to speak to members of the public about my time in Barnardo's and Particularly time at Goldings which I always give a big mention too. I'm sure you all know what Barnardo's did for us in our day's, when they cared for around 8,000 children, but do you know that today they care for over 110,000 in community projects all over the UK ? So I believe the name of Barnardo's should be kept in the public eye as much as possible because I am proud to be a member of the largest family in the world...DR BARNARDO'S
