Dave, As promised, I am returning to the SIGHT(SITE) with the news that I hope to attend the Goldings cup Final on Tuesday but without Dave Barlow who sadly had a recent fall in his garden and is in some pain with bad bruising to his chest and legs. I understand from Dawn, that he is OK but is on pain killers and has to take it easy for sometime to come but I will be speaking to him later this evening. Rather than travel to Letchworth alone, I will try and find a friend (Yes I do have a few !!!) to come with me as Margaret is not into football. It would be nice to see a few more old boys at the game as it is a great event if the past two years are anything to go by. Just to say Dave, that I liked your letter to the residents of goldings and it would be fantastic if we could have the opportunity to see the inside of our former home once again. Look forward to Tuesday Evening.

I will, along with Tony, and Brian be at Letchworth this Tuesday for the presentation of the "Goldings Cup" to the winners of the Herts under 15's School Boys Cup.The cup this year will be handed over by Tony Angell in recognition of his prowes up top field when he scored 18 goals? past the Pelham lot..as they were to frightened to "tackle him" His everlasting quote about top field was "It's alright for you Northerner's, you lot are used to the cold! why couldn't we stay in the school block by the radiators?" We bred some outstanding sportsmen up the top field? didn't we!
