Some may remember my one time neighbour, Brian McCarthy, a Bernardo’s boy. A story-teller of repute. One that has stuck in my memory was that you could always tell a new boy - he closed his eyes for morning prayer and lost his breakfast! I was sure this was apocryphal, but you could never be sure!

I went to Hertford earlier in the year for a funeral and said my goodbyes to Goldings and all the places that I lived in there and in Waterford. I don't think that I am going to be able to get to a reunion again. Sorry !
There can't be many who remember my mother, father, sister or myself still around but I send my very best wishes to any who do.
