With the sharp eyes of Pop,we have now found info on Chris Stone who was in Pelham and came into Goldings on July 1966 from Woking,does anyone remember him? This must have been close to when it closed in 1967,so perhaps he was one of the last inputs to Goldings.

Hello Jenny,a little sad that he doesn't want to talk about it or share his memories with other Goldings boys.
I have spent this evening thumbing through the school magazine which usually mentioned what was called "comings and goings" which gave the names of new boys coming to the school and older boys when they were leaving but no mention of your father.If you can glean any further onfo I will follow it up,which house was he in? as the school had a house system,Cairns,Somerset,Aberdeen,Pelham,and MacAndrew.Was he in the Cadet Band? School teachers Mr Shepard,Mr Brooks,Mr Allen.If you can get anything I will follow it up,perhaps "Pop" remembers him as this was close to when the school was closing in 1967.What area was he from,what trade was he taught,or failing that,perhaps Barnardo's can help,good luck Dave

My dad Christopher Stone(Chris)was the ballboy who caught the ball in the 60s I think 1966? Does anyone remember my dad?
He wont talk about this sad time in his life.

Twelve Goldings Old Boys from the 40's, 50's, and 60's revisited Wimbledon 25th April 2016 I've just added photographs of their day. There is a click on off the front page to view the photos, later they will be added to the Photo Gallery.
The Old Boys were interviewed by a TV Company about their memories of their times there, hopefully to be aired at this years Wimbledon, if rain stops play.
