Just to let you know that my sister, Sylvia, died this morning so I will not be at the reunion. I hope that you may be able to remember her in some way on the day. My best wishes to you all, Joan

Hi Dave, Thanks very much for for getting back to me it was very interesting and there were only about 3 lads that I couldn’t remember. I appreciated confirmation of my arrival and leaving Goldings. I thought I left earlier, I had to get my Duke of Edinburgh award book out to confirm the date I did my camping with Bob Newton at Lockernhead. And yes I do remember Bob Newton telling us to knock his hand off our noses as it was quite painful. I always remember if someone had an accident in the gym or on the playing fields he always asked if they were bleeding and if the answer was yes he used to say oh good they are still alive. Yes I do remember the Hill family, and when Kennedy was shot as we were in school on the day and it was talked about all day. Did you ever see the film He Who Rides a Tiger starring Tom Bell which was filmed at Dickies ? I have searched for it but have never see it myself. I remember looking out the wndow from a top window looking out over the court yard watching some of the action when Mr Emberton walked past and i shouted out hey peg leg, it didn’t go down to well and i have never seen him move so fast as he suddenly appeared upstairs demanding to know who had shouted..It would be great if you could forward me a copy of the football team who played the staff. I was really pleased to find out that Pop Steele is still alive, what a great sportsman considering he was not often seen without a ciggie. I have been happily married for 45 years and have a son and three grand children. I came back to Southport when I left Golding's and still live hear. The home Tudor Bank were i spent my early years is still there but is now a nursing home. What happened to Goldings when it closed down? I assume it is still standing as it was such a great building. Please say hello to the lads at the reunion next week for me especially Joe Law and Pop Steele, if I am in a position to do so I would love to attend next years.

Best regards Dave Langler Pelham House ( The best house) lol
