Alan (Dearman), a slight mistake in your name of Mr Nunn, it was Wray Nunn in the Bootmakers, which I beleive it's spelt wrong on your presentation. Also the Chapel is still owned by the footballer, along now with bottom field! Kind Regards Dave.

Alan (Ives), I have read about you in a "Goldonian" and I will tell John Horn to contact you (if he isn't still ill) as he was at Goldings a similar time, his "nickname" was "Nipper"

Dave,
Thank you for putting the message on the site regarding the event at Ware, along with your kind words. I would also like to thank you for giving your support by attending, bringing some Golding's Memorabilia and a wonderful demonstration on how to use the bumper.
My sincere thanks also go to David Wheatley, who gave a wonderful account of his experience as a "Golding's boy". I have received some excellent feedback from some members of the public who attended and they are more aware of what Golding's was all about. A total of £42.95 was collected via the Barnardo collection bucket placed on the table in addition to a £50.00 donation to Barnardo's from the Ware Town Council, for which I offer my Sincere thanks.
It was also nice to have a Mini reunion in the local pub beforehand and my thanks to those who attended.

It is with sadness to be informed of the passing of Heather Fogg (Local Hertford Historian) on April 7th 2014. When I was trying to get the bench installed at Waterford she was a tower of strength in helping me with support, and contact names which finally got us the green light. Along with Fred Barnes, she gave us tremendous help and local knowledge in locating and naming the boys who were buried in Waterford Cemetery and will be sadly missed by all. A card of condolence has been sent on behalf of the Old Boys and Staff. There will be a memorial service for Heather at Waterford Parish Church Tuesday 22nd April at 2-30pm
