Thanks Dave, I had a nice "walk down memory lane" after reading your piece about Tom Mathews, looked at the photos(most I could remember), very enjoyable, I think Tom would still be sure of his Centre Half position, as I need a hip replacement(still waiting!) and he was far better anyway. Sam

So sorry to hear of the passing of another Goldings Old Boy,who must have been a first class sportsman for the school, if you go on to sports and leisure index on the left of the front page and then click onto item 5.Tom was part a wonderful school football team that was probably the most finest in the schools history. Not a pupil from my generation but proud to know he achieved such a outstanding record on behalf of the school for all of us, which I hope will always be read with pride not only from us, but also the children and grandchildren of Goldings Old Boys that rank along with the many achievments that the school attained,not only in sport but many other areas too.
So long Tom,all our condolence's to his family. Goldings.
