I knew your grandfather well. I was at Godings the same time as he was,I've often thought of him. We were quite good friends. We were in Somerset house at the same time. I certainly would like to hear from him. Have a Merry Christmas.

Good morning,
My name is Lois Banks and I'm writing on behalf of my grandfather, Bryn Webb (aged 81). He was a student at Goldings in the 1940s (45/6-49). He worked in the boot/shoe factory and was a Wimbledon ball boy in 47 and 48. He has been regaling me with stories from his time at the school. I am ging to film him talking about his experiences. I'll hopefully do this over the next month so would you be interested in having a copy of the film?

To all the Boys & Girls that were in Dr. Barnardo's, Chris and Len would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas, not forgetting all the Staff that gave up their time in life to look after us. Also I would like to thank David & his lovely Wife who continue the Wheatley association amongst us, and who found his Father one of the finest men I ever did meet, who gave us the inspiration to improve our lot, and was the ideal person you could ever wish to be a Headmaster, hope you all have some luck in the New Year.

Carolyn and I send our best wishes for Christmas and the New Year to all Goldonians. My Father's 1960 festive message reprinted on your new front page reminded me how lucky I was to be his son. I still miss him 37 years after his all too early death. See you all on October 5th.
