I was at Goldings 11 years and the school tie is something I have never seen or heard of. I will take this opportunity to wish all ex Goldings boys and their families wherever they happen to be in the world a really lovely Christmastime and a very Happy and Healthy New Year, you are always in my thoughts.

As xmas once more fast approach's all of us I'd like you all to think back to our xmas at Goldings and unlike today's kids recall the practical things we yearned for? Half Ounce of Bacca,Extra Rubber Plonk at Supper,a set of Drum Sticks to play on the Radiators,Two Sausages,A part in the Xmas Panto,Packet of Blanco,Somerset winning the Queens Cup,50 plus years in the future, Drummond buying a round at the White Horse? That's what Goldings gave us Dreams! Perhaps Father Christmas was to frightened to call on Goldings in case we pinched all the contents of his sack!makes you think.

Bumper l remember l was standing just outside the kitchen by the wall and Norman Brown dropped the bumper from the bedroom window and just missed me. He shouted look out. If l didn't move l think l might not be here today!! Or have a mishaped head.
