Today I was contacted by an Old Boy Leslie Lack who arrived at Goldings in 1940,he lives in London but says "I'm to old to attend the re-union at 86! Read his story on the story page "Life at Goldings" He was in Somerset and trained as a Cabinet Maker, but when he left Goldings he became a Printer. I promised to send him a d.v.d. and other items concerning Goldings

Bobby Mac, you asked me today who was the last house captain of Somerset, well taking my info from 66 and 67 Goldonians it appears that you were last in 1966,after that they were group leaders Barry Foote and Gilbert Brown, and Cairns was disbanded 13th November 1967.Pelham Hose Captain:G.Carr,Aberdeen:Ralph Smith.Before you was Norman Brown,Mike Hultum and before that me! Hello Roma and Bob, and the young man with you, he has shot up!since the last time I saw him. Yes it was a very quick "Hello" last time me and you were that quick was in old " Embo's" orchard when we were collecting apples!! so they wern't wasted!! and I got stung! I have never seen two pupils of the school climb a tree back into Somerset! so fast We should had a Gold Medal off the Prefects for such an event! So nice to see you,keep in touch both of you.
