Hi Dave, Thanks for the information and what a shame we are not all able to visit the inside of the house as in the past, but we must respect the residents wishes and understand where they are comming from. Having said that, we must all be grateful that we will still be able to visit the grounds as part of our reunion day. I do hope that the 10 who are permitted to enter the house have never done so in the past, so please, no gate crashers. For those of us who have done so in recent years, we have those wonderful memories!!

I was reading some of the letters regarding Wimbledon, I was at goldings 53/55. and went to wimbledon in 54. I have related some of my memories at the past reunions / 2, I had the great pleasure of meeting Danny Kaye, actor comedian singer who offered to buy us cakes and sweets. We were sitting up on an area above no.1 court set aside as an outside cafe, which we were given tickets for. My claim to fame was that I was on a court just inside the main gate and was wacked on the side of the face with a ball hit by a player called Drobny, he said that I had moved. He had to appologise, and offered to buy me some sweets. I have written to the C.E.O.of the A.E.L.T.A. when I heard that it had been said that goldings had never sent ball boys to Wimbledon. I received a very strong appology, on behalf of the A.E.L.T.A. For those who may be interested, I was in Kinnaird house, and was a printing machine minder, although my memories of Goldings were not all good, there were some good times and it taught me a lot

I have now spoken to the Goldings Residents contact, and they have now given us the freedom of the grounds with their blessing on our reunion day. There will only maximum of ten places for Old Boys to visit inside the house as not all are happy with infringing on their privacy within the house, as some residents have moved on who supported us in the past. I will give those places to Old Boys who are new to the reunion and have never been back since they left to the inside of the house, which at the moment totals three and I feel we must include "Pop" which makes to date four. Please park in a sensible manner so as not to upset residents, using the grass verge for instance up Goldings Lane, and there will also be limited space's in Waterford Village Hall(but can I draw your attention the North Road crossing which is now dangerous to cross unlike when we were there with a man in front of the car with a red flag!!) and share a car which would help.I have agreed with them that we spend between 1-3 o'clock at Goldings to allow it to return to normality for the residents! Please honour their request as it may affect access in the future for US! The reunion invites are now complete and are being sent to Barnardo's to post. Can anyone who doesn't receive one contact me and I will post it direct to you as Barnardo's will not give address's to me due to privacy protection!!! Many thanks to all for your support and just a note to say, since I have been doing the reunion's we have always had good weather,so Mr Nixon, who didn't like me is repaying me with his blessings after all those years!

For all those who have ever had a Parking ticket, you will love this.... AS THE COFFIN WAS BEING LOWERED INTO THE GROUND AT A TRAFFIC WARDENS FUNERAL, A VOICE FROM INSIDE SCREAMS: "I'M NOT DEAD, I'M NOT DEAD, LET ME OUT!" THE VICAR SMILES, LEANS FORWARD SUCKING AIR THROUGH HIS TEETH AND MUTTERS:
"TO LATE MY SON, I'VE ALREADY COMPLETED THE PAPERWORK"
