Dave, you have done a fantastic job in making these arrangements with the Goldings residents and I for one are looking forward to treading the boards again. My offer of any further assistance still stands. In the meantime, like our founder Dr Barnardo, you deserve a Knighthood.

Just got back from Hertford and Barkingside. We have now been welcomed with open arms to the residents of Goldings on the day of our reunion. They will be putting on for us light refreshments and tea,and look forward to our stories and memories of our former home.Certain dorms(apartments)will be open to us on the day.The Stable Block also we can visit but not! inside so please respect their privacy and reflect our teachings on manners. We hope to book a coach for the day, once it,s been organised by the re-union team.I have also managed to obtain more memorbillia of Goldings which will be displayed on the day,and once I have sorted it out it will be on the site.Their are further talks to be had with the residents but to date they look forward to meeting us.Once the fine tuning has been agreed more details of the day will be posted, also a flyer with the reunion ticket will also set out the final details. "Yes Alan I did enjoy my day at the Hawthorns telling the volunteers of my time at Goldings, and I still didn't buy a round!" See you all soon.

While in Hertford! does anyone remember Wiggingtons Antiques Shop just across from the Library, I thought they would always be there, but sadly no more Wiggingtons is now an up market coffee shop Cafe' (Can't think what they did with all that junk they had in the yard.) Seriously and sadly Hertford is starting to change.
