Bobby Mac has sent us all a message when we go on the Dymchurch run to Goldings which we used to sing on our way back to Goldings from Dymchurch and it goes like this.
"There is a mouldy place down this Lane called Goldings...you must sing it loud so he can hear it were he now lives!
And no pinching the apples in Kent through the coach window!!!

Letter sent to coach company confirming booking for this coming years reunion.
Ref my conversation yesterday 20 July with Bev and Doug for the hire on the Saturday 2nd October 2010 between the hours of 12 noon to 5’o’clock to shuttle three return journeys from Sele Farm Community Centre to Goldings via Goldings Lane Waterford using a 29 seated coach, this letter along with the quoted price of £175.00 confirms this booking with your company Reg’s Coaches, Welwyn and Goldings Old Boys.
Enclosed is payment by cheque for the quoted amount, please forward to the above address receipt of payment enclosed. Many thanks for your prompt and professional way in dealing with our booking

Well blow me down with a tin of Ronuk! Just got back from banking the donation from this morning on the floor in my porch was a Million Dollar note,and attached to it was a short note.
"This is to repay Goldings for the trouble I caused in my time there to the Staff,like smirking when one of the boys had the cane and I started to laugh when a dust cloud appeared from his grey flannels! and laughing at a Black Country accent of one of the Somerset lot.So this year if Drummond doesn't get his round in use this to pay for his round,and any over! get yourself an icecream"

Hi Dave
Just been reading your article in this weeks Mercury re Wimbledon ball boys of the sixties, very interesting, one thing I cant remember is having to train before we went to Wimbledon, perhaps this was brought in later, as I went in 1946 to 1948, in the "dark days".
