I do hope you don't mind me getting in touch I obvioulsy am not an "old boy" but worked for Herts County Council after I left school. I went to Goldings in 1969 when the Highways Dept took it over, left a few years later when I had my family, then went back in 1986, and finally left when that beautiful old house was sold for property development. What a wonderful web site you have set up, it brings back so many happy memories. My husband and I both celebrated our 40th birthday parties in the social club (which was the hospital for you. I remember watching Cat Wheezel being filmed back in the late 1960's, they were also using another old house in the area, Brickendonbury, where I was also lucky enough to have worked before the move to Goldings. Happy Days...

Throughout this year I have added Goldings to the official Hertford History site with information about us hoping for feed back from many of the local people who could give us their recollections of us,well worth a visit.
Write in on "google" discover hertford on line,scroll down to local history,click onto hertford past,then look for Goldings and read up on their recollections.Happy new year Dave.
