Hi David, Many thanks for your reply. I have been in touch with Pop Steele, Colin Tregellis and Ike Alviston. Re Somerset, I remember Skip very well and being a 'Tin Basher' also I remember Mr De Boeck (Woffy') I understand that both have departed this world and now are in 'Glory' I would appreciate the Goldonian information. One Goldinian in particular (late 1950's) mentioned Terry Cann, this related to boxing which in fact was myself, we didn't have spell check and verifying in those days. Also at Goldings was my brother Arthur and Stanley, Stanley lives in the U.K. and lives in a village near London. My brother Arthur unfortunately passed away just over a year ago at the age of 66. I will find the some photo's that I have and send them to you. David, I do appreciate your help. Many thanks for your help, Tony Tony Cann

Dear Tony The answer is blowing in the wind!! It also discourages that little Jack Tar as he may think it's a free drinks night at the presentation!

A Mr David Willacy from the Hertfordshire Football League has now contacted me with the idea of donating a football cup or shield from Goldings Old Boys and Staff,of which he is in agreement, but he has to discuss it at their A.G.M. tonight. He has suggested that it should go to the under 14's,which I think will slot into the relevant age group at our former school, and will be presented at Letchworth Football ground annually. The wording and reason we put on this cup is open to suggestions. So is someone out there that can lend me a jemmy to prise the money off Jimmy for it???
