So sorry to hear about Bob Newton, and thanks Dave for taking the time informing myself and other old boys who now live overseas of his passing. Each one of us, I'm sure, shares a special thought and memory of our W.B.T.S. gym teacher.

Personaly, from 1962 to 1965 he helped myself to achieve that gym medal that is now displayed on my profile. Like many of the teachers and tradesmen at Goldings, Bob Newton was part of a very special team of dedicated men who volunteered and helped many of us boys to achieve some dignity, respect and pride in ones self.

My heart goes out to Bob's wife, family, friends and all us Goldings boys who new Bob. As you know I live in Canada and will not be able to attend the celebration of his life, however, I'll be there in Spirit and thinking of you all at his funeral 2:30 on the 11th of May.

God bless, Alan Sibbons, Aberdeen house, 1962-1965
