Dave Throughout the lifetime of Goldings,the more senior Goldings Old Boys looked upon the 60's lads as not strictly children of Barnardo's in the true sense,but from local authorities in the main,which was partly true,and without a doubt in my circumstance was the case.Trouble makers and delinqents we were certainly considered to be,and not really true Goldings material,and sometimes with just cause! prone to fighting especially between the "houses" and typical of the lax! 60's attitude's that prevailed.This now brings me to the following story. We beat McCall 6-1,drew with Cairns and Aberdeen.To date,we have obtained six points out of a possible eight.The fourth match,against Mt Stephen,was not played to the finish,due to the behaviour of some of our players.The incidents in this game were most regrettable,and we hope in the future the offending members will exercise a more manly control over their emotions.The backbone of sport is the spirit it is played in.
