It would seem that my attempt to encourage more participation in this web site has attracted condemnation, in my opinion, without consideration to the whys and wherefors of me doing so.
I will try and explain.
My intention is not to distract from this site, quite the reverse, in fact.
After looking through those members of Face Book that are Goldings Old Boys, I realised that there are some that are not in contact with each other and the site. Therefore, had those that condemn my attempt to encourage participation read the post on the meeting place, they may well have understood that it was, hopefully to encourage more communication.
I have never done anything that could cause harm to this site nor the reunions, and the implication that my recent attempt was to do so is nothing short of an insult.
Woody, a tad p***** off at present.

Peter Drummond is right, we have a good meeting place. Why two?, I will use only this place to say my thought`s and to send any message to all my Goldings friends. I send my personal thanks to Dave Blower both for the site and all the work for the reunion`s that go unnoticed by many of us. My regards to all your family Dave. Thanks also to Drummond for bringing this to our attention, I have not seen face book so would not have used it anyway.
What`s that about Ossie cricket Mr Robertson, I didn`t know they knew how to play the great game? Hope the weather has settled down over there Bob so you can get your mower out again, keep in touch.

Hi Guys It saddens me to see invites on facebook to join the Goldings old boys meeting place, the website that we use at present is run at great cost and time by the Blower family and which has been our meeting place for many years why would we want or indeed need another meeting place. Come on guys lets support our current web site and support Dave and Mal in the running of the site and the reunions.
Use it or lose it!!!!

Hi everyone, Happy Easter to you all and a happy birthday to those I have missed over the past few days. Just a little news following the last National Council meeting which took place on March 22nd. Well, I'm off on holiday in the morning for a few days and hope to enjoy a Country music festival in Suffolk. THE SUBJECT OF THE GUILD MESSENGER was on the agenda and I'm sure you are all aware that it's future is safe for the foreseeable future. However, it will only survive if Subsciptions to the Guild are maintained and there are items to put in it. If you have any article, or photo's, they must be submitted by the end of April if they are to be considered for inclusion in the next issue. THE LONDON OPEN HOUSE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE DURING THE WEEKEND OF SEPTEMBER 18th-19th. This event in where dozens of public buildings which are not normally open to the public, will be open free of charge. Barnardo's are again taking part by opening the Village Homes at Barkingside to the Public. It's a great opportunity to meet and talk to members of the public about our experiences in Barnardo's. This may be your last opportunity for some time to visit the Village before major building work begins. THE ANNUAL BARNARDO MEMORIAL SERVICE will take place in the Village church at 2pm on Sunday September 19th. This is an opportunity to attend BOTH EVENTS. Well, Margaret and I are off to Suffolk in the morning for a Country music festival and hope to enjoy five days of sunshine.

Mr Hooper (Chief) The Boiler Man
|
"O yes Robertson, and you will come back as a born again Pom!" It appears that the boiler room is becoming overcrowed with none beleivers and damm outright sinners trying to stoke up the fires! so you must all return and repent as those in line waiting to get in goes from the kitchen and all the way round by Sick Bay. Both Mr Nixon and Corbett failed in their quest for Angell,s! Their only success was Tony!
