several years ago the web site and reunions were in a position of disarray i was a member of an inadeguate commitee who allowed one man to completly have control of the way we ran the site and reunions including the money now this proved to be fatal and lots of people were accused of misdoings the main blame being aimed at me, at this point i decided to just walk away and not defend my position then the 1st of two remarkable men came into my life first was a guy called woody who looked at the facts and found they didnt add up an so began his defence of me which restored my faith in goldings old boys and for which i shall always be grateful.
the other was dave blower who without undoutably there would be no reunions today dave and mal set about rebuilding the reunions and my credibility for which they always had faith in to the extent that over the years they have promoted me as a face of goldings old boys so i would be very sad if there was ever a falling out of people i cherish.
there is space in modern technology for more people to promote goldings old boys as many of you have found through the medium of web,face book and friends re-united there are other social networking sites we can let the word get out to old boys so lets use them in any way and by anybody that has a mind to and the ability now im off my soap box love and peace to all my brothers

Dear oh Dear what a state you are all getting in!
Peter just bought it to all of our attentions, and I respect his thoughts, but the way it's going it's ending up like in the Dining room when we thought one of us had two sausages, and we only had one! riot!
At the beginning I said I would sponsor the web site, and unlike other sites would not include advertisments to supplement any cost, all we ask is that we reflect the unique spirit that Goldings had and still has, and your experiences you had at Goldings is shared on this site.
The recent reaction to opinions on the guest book only tells me that you hold our site with pride, but like in life we all have differing thoughts that sometimes clash, but unlike other groups still end being good friends.
Peter like Woody and many many others give me wonderful support in our attempt to reconnect us to our friends from Goldings.
To me Woodys crime was to once again not explain his honourable intentions and I hope dearly he resinds his general thoughts towards us.
In Peters case he like me, worried that the site would become diluted with the option of two, but surely we Goldings Old Boys can "talk for England" so I can't really be seeing our site drying up!
I had a wonderful time at Goldings and made many friends, and still am, and still on the look out for more! not expecting to lose any, so please kiss and make up and enjoy the rest of our lives, and remember "You can always tell a Goldings Boy....but you can't tell him much, as we already know"

My final words to Goldings Old Boys.
Some six years ago I involved myself in the reunions. At that time, my comments and posts attracted a great deal of criticism and condemnation. I was subjected to a great deal of abuse, insults and hate male. Yet I persisted with my endeavours to clear the name of a fellow Goldings Lad, and to try and ensure the continuation of reunions. Those that attacked me, did so without the understanding of the situation. Just as they do now. I would ask where would the reunions be now, and would you have this web site, had I not put up with the abuse and insults that I did then.
More recently, I requested the details of the web site bank account, to enable me to make a financial donation. Again, without understanding my intentions, I was, basically, told that it is none of my business.
And now to the most recent episode of my feeble attempts to promote and enhance the web site and reunions.
Again, criticism and condemnation are in the minds of those that have not looked at the purpose behind my reasoning.
I have shown nothing but support for Dave and his endeavours, and this has been since before the reunions and this web site. Therefore, to receive such as I have from fellow Goldings Lads, fills me with dismay.
Whilst I shall not withdraw my support, I shall no longer attempt to promote nor enhance the reunions or web site.
A sad Goldings Lad, Woody.
