Just to let everyone know there is a Rail strike due on the 1st October, the day of our reunion.
Let’s hope this doesn’t affect our reunion a
Like the petrol shortage did last year.
See you all on the day.

Hello Dave,

I'm sorry to say that I'm not going to be able to make it to the reunion. Please give my best wishes to everyone, especially Cliff (pop) .
Thank you for continuing to keep it together for those who are still able to make it and hope you have a good year, Joan

Goldings
'Tis but life as best we new it.

Still slowly the wheels of life turn
Old school days recall the joys we now seek to yearn,
The vast buildings so grand rarely co to mind
Yet, for this one time each year, so special, so easy to find.

Fond memories now are all that we savour
Faces, names trouble, strife and favour.
Times gone by but not forgotten
Masters, teachers, friends, most often.

Years have since passed while our worlds become divided
Memories remain, our thoughts, slightly one sided,
Tragically Time serves us all as a constant reminder
Gone and divided now, we are, more of an active outsider.

Today our thoughts and values have grown much wiser
Forget not the school that gave us that full visor,
Work hard, learn quickly, be obedient and true
Though not all of the time would we practise things new.

Gathered today celebrate those moments passed by
Our memories now vivid will remain strong and high,
The school has long closed, no longer the pillar of themes
Yet we still retain discipline, honesty and hopefully of dreams.

One can never forget the camaraderie of fellow lads
Each owned a different character, some good, some bad,
Learn quickly, act fast, be silent, be strong
Be prepared, to be punished when somethings went wrong.

May all our thoughts be true to those of you visiting today
Stand proud, wear a smile and remember the day,
The hard times forgotton, the good times recalled
For sinners and saints, stand honoured, amongst us all.
