I wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone involved in the running of the reunion, to the ladies and off gent in the kitchens giving all us hungry and thirsty reunion goers our much needed sustinance right through to Dave for an outstanding display of memorabilia. I was really quite taken aback at just how comprehensive the photo collection was and also the bits of 'recovered' items which found their way to the reunion too. Some wonderful conversations backing up my Dads' memories was fascinating and I found myself having a very good chat with some of the men there.
A family atmosphere my Dad said and indeed it was. A wonderful day out, just sorry we couldnt have stayed longer due to getting one of the children back to his mother and Dad collecting another enroute.
I don't think I'm alone in wanting to thank everyone for their hard graft in putting this event together and congratulations on such a wonderful success!!
(oh and to everyone who donated a massive thank you on behalf of myself!! And of course Barnardos!) I'm doing the half Marathon on the 18th, just under two weeks away and all of your sponsors, pledges and donations have been warmly recieved.
